Is the World Improving

Money is man made. We chase money. We waste our life time, distrusting all, acting blind to our well wishers and making lots of enemies while on this hot pursuit.

We leave this world one fine day hopefully without pain. A word of caution here, with lots of money one is also likely to leave the excruciating way because the medical world would unleash itself, put tubes wherever possible, open up what ever possible, if you dare stop breathing then it is ahoy ! the ventilator and finally our organs die one or even part at a time. Death by EMI !

The long lost children regroup one last time to introspect on "how well they tried". We then leave all the riches to them so that they can fight over their "losses" for the rest of their lives.

Times in the not too distant past worked on barter. So honourable, give what you have in excess and get what you need. Yes, "NEED", not for tomorrow, but for today ! as the Good Lord taught us to pray. Life was not fast, everyone had plenty of leisure, spent time and bonded with the family. Nobody needed treadmills or workouts because they worked in the fields, drew water from wells so on.

What really are our "NEEDS" ?

Gold ?.... Money ?...... Real estate ?

NO !

A Roof, Fresh air, Clean Water, Pure Food and simple climate specific clothing. That is all !!

How good are these necessities today to those available say 35 years ago ? Is the air better ? Is the water purer ? Is the food healthier ?

People who are old enough to have seen both would chorus "The Good Old Days... !"

Today, I suspect, people may get sick if "exposed" to unpolluted air. Pure water is available for the rich in supermarkets but their containers take over the polluting.

In those days nobody drank Cow Juice off the shop shelf but had farm fresh milk, fruits and vegetables. GM.. did not exist. Nobody suffered Burnouts either.

So let us take some time to introspect and ponder whether we are taking this world in the right direction. Are we truly progressing ?
